Learning Goal: I’m working on a design project and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
The a-s-s-e-s-s-m-e-n-t will be the initial design research and ideation phase for your design project. Please see the questions shown in the screenshot. I will send you all info after being hired, eg PPTs, student access etc. Please send a draft in 12hrs -1 day time, day 2, and day 3 as well. + Will need to draft some questions to ask the teacher and revise base on feedback (Send bk ard in 1 day max)

Read the file first. Answer the following question:
1. In this module, you were asked to conduct some research on how companies, including Ecolect, are creating goods and providing design services in new, interesting, and ecological ways. Share your findings, as well as your thoughts and analysis of what you learned.
2. Buckminster Fuller first presented his dome concept with great success in 1954 at the Milan Triennale. The event featured worldwide innovations in design, architecture, and city planning, among other fields. Around this time, Fuller was developing what he called a Comprehensive Anticipatory Design Science, which he defined as, “The effective application of the principles of science to the conscious design of our total environment in order to help make the Earth’s finite resources meet the needs of all humanity without disrupting the ecological processes of the planet.”
Conduct some research into Fuller’s Comprehensive Anticipatory Design Science. Did Bucky’s vision eventually become a reality? If so, how?

Select four corporate designs that you find outstanding in some way. Your four products should have a running theme, which is completely up to you. For example, your theme could be technology, cars, music, or kitchenware. Though we say “product,” note that corporate exhibits such as Futurama also count as a product.
Once you have your four designs, analyze each in as many words as you see fit. Why does each product qualify as a corporate design? Is that good or bad? And what does that mean for the users of these products? How, if at all, are their experiences affected by the corporate branding?
Each analysis should flow logically into the next. That is, don’t simply throw unconnected analyses together without any order or structure.

Read the files that I upload.
Consider these qualities of Bauhaus from A Primer of Visual Literacy:
simplicity
symmetry
angularity
abstraction
consistency
unity
organization
economy
subtlety
continuity
regularity
sharpness
monochromatic
How exactly do you interpret each of these qualities? For example, what does it mean when a product is organized, subtle, or regular? First, define your own interpretations of these terms. Then, make a list of some products you can think of that meet at least a few of these criteria. Do you think these products you listed benefited or suffered from their similarity to Bauhaus? How do you define whether a product suffers or succeeds in the consumers’ eyes?
Arrange your products into a composition with three or four images of the products you consider representative of Bauhaus work. Include a brief description—taking the prompts above into account—of each with your composition.
Be prepared to answer questions about your logic and how you defined the terms above.

Find a product popularized during the Industrial Revolution—you can use any of the products listed in the files that I provided. Under the context of social change, discuss the product design in a two- to three-page essay. For example, a gaslight in a Victorian home and its impacts could be a potential topic. Do some research and determine how your product impacted people socially, practically, and/or economically.
As with all essays, come up with a thesis to guide your paper before you start writing. Then, support your thesis with well-reasoned opinions and facts from credible sources. Wikipedia is not a credible source.
Good thesis: Though the gaslight was an important product in the Industrial Revolution, it had more negative effects than positive ones, particularly with regard to efficiency in domestic life. These effects include x, y, and z.
Bad thesis: The gaslight was an important invention during the Industrial Revolution.

What to do: Design a water bottle.
Directions
1) Select 2-3 items from our list of requirements or create a new item from our problem list.
2) Use those items as a starting point for exploration as you ideate and prototype to meet that specific need. Note: Make sure that your idea is new and novel to the water bottle world. This may mean internet seeking or other commercial research to make sure your idea is different.
3) Create a final sketch/rendering of your ideal water bottle. Be sure to think about where the features are, how they work, and why they are important.
4) Upload a PDF of your design. You solution can be a hand-drawn sketch, a digital illustration, photo of a physical model, or a digital rendering. Place your design on an 8.5×11 inch page and include annotations that identify the critical features and how they work to solve your problem. Add additional pages in your PDF to show your work (sketches, notes, lists, etc)–Make sure your final design is on Page 1 of your PDF.
What to Include
A PDF (Page 1: final design (and annotations), Pages 2-5: documentation of effort/work)
