Imagine that you work for Centennial Energy Company, Inc. (NYSE: CEC) as a manager where you supervise a diverse unit of 25 people. You discover via an email sent to your inbox by mistake that Centennial Energy has been polluting the nearby water system with chemicals that may lead to sickness. So far, no one in the local community has reported any illness. The email goes on to say that all top executives are aware of the problem but the most cost efficient way to handle this is to do nothing as alerting the public would cause the stock price to plummet.
You contemplate telling your immediate supervisor, but two things prevent you from doing so: your supervisor is good friends with the CEO and as such, you fear nothing will be done. Secondly, you could report this to the media, and that could cause you to lose your job and your reputation. While there is whistle blower protections, your last job evaluation was just above average, therefore you do not have job security as the company could still fire you for substandard behavior if you were to “ruffle feathers.” Your family and your spouse can not afford for you to lose this job due to the health care benefits/insurance of the company as you have 3 children of your own.
While no one is sick yet, the chemicals in the water could lead to serious health issues, both short term and long term for the community. You must decide what you are going to do. Do you alert your supervisor? Do you go to the media? Do you risk losing everything?
To complete this essay, you will compare and contrast two ethical frameworks as you decide what to do in this situation.
Then, answer the following questions:
Define egoism and utilitarianism in your own words.
Compare and/or contrast these two ethical frameworks.
Consider the workplace scenario through each framework. Which framework is violated and which is endorsed? Explain your reasoning.
From an egoist perspective, is anyone’s conduct unethical? Why or why not?
From a utilitarian perspective, is anyone’s conduct unethical? Why or why not?
Now decide what you should do – from each perspective. For the first perspective, what is a morally correct action you can take (or not take?) Why?
From the second perspective, what is a morally correct action you can take (or not take?) Why?
Wrap it up: What would you ACTUALLY do in this situation? With what framework does your decision best align?
Cite sources, especially when referencing back to definitions.

There is no word limits, just finished that on time, due in 3 hrs.QUESTION: Nationalism and class conflict are central themes of The Wretched of the Earth. Taken them each in their turn with an eye towards your research paper: What role does nationalism, national unity, and/or national consciousness play in the social movement or revolution you’ve chosen, if at all? How does a particular idea of the “nation” and who “belongs” impact the movement or revolution’s demands, claims, or motivations? Similarly, what is the role of class and class conflict?

I’m working on a global studies report and need guidance to help me study.OVERVIEWThe United Nations (UN) has hired you as a consultant, and your task is to assess the impact that global warming is expected to have on population growth and the ability of societies in the developing world to ensure the adequate security of their food supplies.CASE As the world’s population nears 10 billion by 2050, the effects of global warming are stripping some natural resources from the environment. As they diminish in number, developing countries will face mounting obstacles to improving the livelihoods of their citizens and stabilizing their access to enough food. The reason these governments are struggling even now is that our climate influences their economic health and the consequent diminishing living standards of their peoples. Climate changes are responsible for the current loss of biodiversity as well as the physical access to some critical farming regions. As such, these changes in global weather patterns diminish agricultural output and the distribution of food to local and international markets. These difficulties will become even more significant for these countries as the Earth’s climate changes for the worse. Temperatures are already increasing incrementally, and polar ice caps are melting, so the salient question is: what does this suggest for developing societies? The issue before the developing world is not its lack of food, but rather how to gain access to food. Simply put, changes in our climate are affecting the global food chain, and hence, the living standards of entire populations. Added to this is the fact that food is not getting to where it is needed in time to prevent hunger or starvation. In many developing countries, shortages are due to governments’ control over distribution networks rather than an insufficient supply of food itself. In effect, these governments are weaponizing food by favoring certain ethnic or religious groups over others. When added to dramatic climate changes that we are experiencing even now, the future for billions of poor people looks increasingly dim.INSTRUCTIONSYou are to write a minimum of a 5 page persuasive paper for the UN that addresses the following questions about the relationship between atmospheric weather patterns and food security in the developing world:Climate change and global warming are often used interchangeably, but they are not the same phenomenon. What are the differences between the two concepts and what leads to the confusion between them?
In 1900, the average global temperature was about 13.7° Celsius (56.7° Fahrenheit) (Osborn, 2021), but as of 2020, the temperature has risen another 1.2°C to 14.9°C (58.9°F). According to the Earth and climate science community, if the Earth’s surface temperature rises another 2°C (3.6°F), we will suffer catastrophic weather patterns that, among other things, will raise sea levels, cause widespread droughts and wildfires, result in plant, insect, and animal extinctions, and reduce agricultural productivity throughout the world (Mastroianni, 2015 and Lindsey & Dahlman, 2020). How much credibility do you place in these projections? Why?
There is no question that the Earth’s food sources are threatened by changes in its weather patterns, but what specific challenges does climate change pose to the food security of people in the developing world?
There is currently a debate among some multinational lending agencies like the International Monetary Fund, UNICEF, and AID over the financial support for food security has been misused by recipient government officials. On the other hand, U.S. authorities insist that misuse of its assistance is not occurring because it has strict monitoring oversight in place. What is your position on this matter? Is there evidence that financial assistance to developing governments is being widely misused by government officials?
GUIDELINESThis course requires the use of Strayer Writing Standards (SWS). For assistance and information, please refer to the SWS link in the left-hand menu of your course and check with your professor for any additional instructions.
In order to earn full credit, your paper must be divided into at least four full pages of content (one page to address each of the four questions above), and include at least a one-half page introduction and a one-half page conclusion – making a minimum total of five full pages of text.
You must use at least seven credible sources (excluding Wikipedia, dictionaries, and encyclopedias) that are appropriate for the subjects under discussion.
You must use only double-spacing and not place extra spacing between paragraphs or section headings.
The specific course learning outcome associated with this assignment is as follows:Evaluate the impacts that climate changes are having on the growth of global populations and the security of their food sources.

Instructions Often, when one thinks of ethical perspectives in the workplace, the focus tends to be on theories such as utilitarianism and egoism. While there is certainly a place for these two theories in the workplace, there remains a whole world of different perspectives and systems. For this deliverable, you will be creating a pamphlet that highlights Eastern Ethical Systems and their benefits within the workplace. Your pamphlet will need to address the following topics: A description of Buddhism and Confucianism.
Key ethical themes that run through each of these traditions.
Describe similarities and differences between the two traditions.
Relate themes of Buddhism and Confucianism common themes within American culture.
Describe features of the ethical perspectives of Buddhist and Confucian traditions that would be beneficial within a workplace/community.

Learning Goal: I’m working on a global studies question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.Worldwide energy consumption varies dramatically, but the impacts are shared by all. The most commonly used fuel sources for energy around the world are the fossil fuels: coal, oil, and natural gas. Combustion of fossil fuels releases pollutants into the atmosphere, where the emissions from all countries combine to cause local, regional, and global issues. One of the primary pollutants of concern is carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas. Carbon dioxide emissions are responsible for climate change, and governments around the world have taken steps to control carbon dioxide levels, but not all countries have been successful in reducing carbon emissions. While all countries produce pollution, and emit greenhouse gases, the emission releases are very unequal across the globe. Consider what kinds of factors would determine how much energy is used by a country, a region, a household, or an individual. What factors would influence the fuel choices made by these people and institutions? For this assignment you will conduct research to determine the common fuel sources, sources of emissions, and applicable regulations of a country of your choice and create a PowerPoint presentation designed to educate your classmates. The PG Library has created a library resource with references for you to use to start this assignment. You are also welcome to utilize credible sources that you find. The PG Library is also available to search other scientifically-based sources to support your assignment. Please keep in mind that Wikipedia is not considered a reliable resource. Define and provide examples of each:Fossil fuels, non-renewable energy, and renewable energy.
Identify a country that uses fossil fuels as its primary source of energy.Discuss why the country continues to rely on fossil fuels.
Provide examples of manufactured products or agriculture that are dependent upon fossil fuel use in that country. Consider the level of industrialization in the country and discuss.
Discuss impacts of the continued use of fossil fuels:Include both local and global impacts.
Discuss both long- and short-term impacts on:The environment, human health, and economy. Be specific and detailed in your discussion.
Identify at least one regulation or law that the country put in place to reduce or control emissions and/or air pollution.
What solutions or new regulations would you implement in order to reduce fossil fuel usage in the country you chose? You can look to other countries around the world or the United Nations for examples of energy and emissions regulations.
Global efforts are being made to reduce fossil fuel usage and pollution. Countries must work together to solve these problems. Review the following references for more information about how countries and individuals can work to combat climate change and bridge cultural differences and answer the following questions.Imperial College London. Sustainable development goals. https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/climate-…Imagine that the country you selected has chosen to work with another country to implement the solution/regulation you recommended in #5 above. What country would they work with on this project and why did you choose that country to partner with?
Analyze possible cultural differences and diversity concepts that would emerge if you recommended your changes stated above to another country? For example, what language barriers or religious and social differences would you encounter? What other cultural differences might need to be addressed as these two countries work together?
Describe how countries can bridge cultural differences through strategic partnerships (e.g., a strategic partnership between countries is an Embassy). Include at least two ways that the cultural differences you identified can be addressed.
What factors were the regulation or law designed to address.
How effective has this regulation or law been?
Have emissions or pollution levels decreased?
