Research Paper: Annotated Bibliography Assignment

RESEARCH PAPER: ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
OVERVIEW
An annotated bibliography is a tool often used by researchers to record their findings of
important scholarly work related to their own research question. It is a listing of written work
with each entry followed by a brief paragraph summarizing the content and purpose of the work,
discussing its relevance to the topic, highlighting unique aspects of the work and describing the
works strengths, weaknesses and biases. Summaries may also include quotations or data from the
work, properly cited, in the researcher’s own writing. You will develop your own annotated
bibliography to jumpstart your research into the trait you selected in your Research Paper:
Topic Brief Assignment for your Research Paper: Final Assignment. You will use the

to show mastery of the reading and provide several examples to support your points. Use your textbook (I provide chapters for you, and any other sources which you use to help form your
essay). Please turn-in your responses to BOTH questions in ONE-word document. Turn-in double-spaced, 1-inch margins, 12

What are the types of media and which are the most influential and why? Explain the role talk radio has played in balancing
out media bias. Finally, provide the framework which the media uses to influence our opinion (ex. Filtering, slant, priming, framing, etc.). Discuss these concepts and explain the power they represent in influencing public opinion. (Chapter 7)

Provide examples of the various interest groups and provide data to support their impact in supporting either Republican or Democratic candidates. Rt 2 Topic Fix

Base on the comments, plz fix that
Your topic is the “global effects of democracy on corporate governance,” and your research question is, “how do corporations maintain democracy as a social obligation in light of changing attitudes toward democracy and authoritarianism in modern global societies”?
It’s not quite clear what your thesis will be. However, it appears that your argument will be that corporations have a social responsibility to be responsive to changes in “social and democratic norms” and “new realities due to globalization.” And you seem to believe that new corporate social responsibility guidelines are needed to bolster democracy as it becomes increasingly threatened globally.
This is a very big topic, and you will need to think carefully about how you will approach it. What bodies of research and scholarship will you draw upon? Will you focus on the corporate social responsibility policies of certain companies? Will you take a case study approach?
For your literature review, you’ll want to look at scholars who support CSR but also those who question it. For example, some scholars argue that the principal responsibility of corporations should simply be return on investment to shareholders.
When people write about CSR, they typically have in mind a corporation’s responsibility on matters of social justice or environmental sustainability. What makes your topic somewhat different is that you will be evaluating CSR policies in terms of a corporation’s role in upholding democratic norms.

RT2 Topic Statement

1. Please write a research paper statement for rt2 based on my rt1 paper and the general direction of rt2 that I discussed with my supervisor. “in RT 2, I should extend and write an article about corporate democracy and how companies should undertake social responsibilities or work with them. A research paper on the duty of democratic norms that dovetail, and perhaps how this democracy works on a global scale.”
2. Please determine the subject of rt2 and write according to my general research direction.
3. If you accept the subject confirmation of this rt2, I will work with you to complete this 30-page rt2 thesis this semester.
4. Note the syntax and citations.
5. This is the teacher’s request and template suggestion: Please attach your topic / research question / thesis statement assignment here. It should be about one paragraph in length, and it is due on September 6. You should begin by describing your topic (i.e., your area of research), followed by a descriiption of your research question. Your research question should be formulated in such a way that it identifies a political problem that you will address in your paper. You should also describe what you believe your argument or claim will be — that is, state your thesis. (NB: Your research question and thesis may change during the semester, but I need to see where you are going at this stage in the process.)
Wayne Booth, in his book The Craft of Research, provides a template for the research question. As he explains, a research question can be formulated as follows: ‘I’m working on X, because I want to find out about Y, so that we can better understand Z.’ In this template, X stands for your topic, Y for your research question, and Z for the intellectual significance of your question. If you use this template, please be sure to describe your thesis as well.
