You are going to tell us a story by combining 5 images into one master image.
You will be digitally assembling several images to make a final image – for screen display. In film this is called compositing.
In this project you will be using any software that you have (or have access to) that can bring together several different images into ONE.
(Photoshop is the one of the most used tools, but there are many others)

First you need Decide on your story.
What do you want to tell us?
Then, Using 5 images together create a master digital image that moves your audience.
Your story does not have to be deep or have existential meaning. We should understand where we are and what you want us to FEEL.

In the Visual Story, Bruce Block tells us that your cast of characters, are the basic visual components:
Space, line, shape, tone, color, movement and rhythm can help you convey moods and emotions.
In your digital imagery program, you will use Transformations (For instance, Scale and size, transparency, color, rotation etc) to express yourself.
———–
YOUR story does not have to be. complicated.  For instance, An event, a ceremony, a moment in time when everything changed.
Take us to someplace we know or someplace abstract.
Using only 5 images, combine them and create a world that we can recognize.
Take us on a journey.
Now assemble your story.  You can use your imagination to create whatever you want.
Gather your resources. We should clearly be able to see the action.  No matter what kind of an artist you are – you can make a simple story.
WHAT TO DO:
1.  Decide on your story and Please create or download at least 5 IMAGES.  Open up a digital imagery program on your computer and use your resources to record your story. Save it and
Post the VISUAL story here. (Save it as a jpeg)
2.  And In a short paragraph, describe briefly what images you used and why you used them.  LIST your images and what they added to your story.
3.  Please post COMMENTS on at least three of your classmate’s postings. Don’t get bogged down in introspection. Do it quickly and explain why you think so.

The Family Life Cycle and the steps adults go through from young adulthood to older adulthood.  However, the population is changing, young people’s attitudes about normal milestones to achieve as we age, and when we should achieve them are changing.
Imagine you could reinterpret the Family Life Cycle for today’s audience.  Propose your steps (and sub-steps) that would capture the young adult generation of today. Review pages 292 – 306 for examples and include 2-3 statements explaining each proposed new new step.

 TWO DIFFERENT COPIES

You’ve learned about a problem, gained empathy for those who experience the problem, and seen frustrations that arise from using alternative solutions. NOW IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO OFFER SOMETHING BETTER!
This assignment asks you to describe your solution. Rather than constrain your creativity with a template that requires you to answer OUR questions, we ask you to provide a brief description of your solution accompanied by a “pre-totype” (low fidelity prototype) drawing you can share with others that illustrates your product or service offering.
Your written description should explain your solution and list important features with expected benefits they’ll provide (relative to currently available, frustrating solutions).
Your ORIGINAL, HAND-DRAWN illustration of your product, including text with arrows pointing to key features OR a description of your service using a “cartoon strip” format with multiple illustrations (stick figures and speech bubbles are preferred like those at the geeky xkcd comic site, such as this example – https://xkcd.com/1016). You will share these illustrations in class, so be sure that they are clear enough for others to see and serve as effective visual aids while you describe your solution to others.
Instructions
Write a description of your solution in a NEW Word file (we’re not providing a template for this assignment!) that includes an overview AND a list of features (attributes of the solution) and benefits (pain relievers and gain creators experienced by others). This MUST be between 100-150 words. You may include bullet lists of features and benefits (complete sentences are not necessary).
Illustrate your solution so that others can gain a basic understanding just by looking at your “pre-totype” drawing. Use labels and speech bubbles to embellish your picture(s) and be prepared to present your drawing to others in class as you describe your solution. Imagine how well people could understand your offering just by looking at your illustration.
Complete your written responses in a Word document, draw your pre-totype on letter-sized paper (portrait orientation), TAKE A PICTURE OF YOUR DRAWING, and copy/paste it as a page in your document (try to make it fit the whole page for easy viewing).
